Stalls in the City – Liverpool ONE Art & Craft Fairs – until September
This summer Liverpool ONE hosts some of the North West’s finest artists and designers in a series of arts & craft fairs. The fairs will take place in the heart of Liverpool city centre on the second full weekend of the month running May through to September. At each event shoppers can discover the work of over 20 artists and makers; A vibrant mix of art and craft creations including unique homewares, original prints and photography, handmade beauty products, glassware, upcycled accessories, textiles, candles, jewellery, stationary and much more.
The Shiny New Festival – 12th-21st July
The Shiny New Theatre is a new fringe organisation for the city of Liverpool. Bringing the best up and coming acts for one week in local venues, the festival is a showcase of the future talent in performance art whether it be drama, comedy or magic. The festival prides itself on providing a platform for performers that gives them a higher box office percentage than other similar festivals.
Brazilica – 12th-20th July
Brazilica is an exciting festival that brings a taste of Brazil’s carnival atmosphere to the streets of Liverpool’s city centre. It has something for everyone including music dance, art, sport, culture, food and film for the whole family. All of which provide the backdrop to the Liverpool Carnival Company’s spectacular Saturday night-time parade! Brazilica 2013 is set to be the biggest event yet with samba bands from all over the world donning their costumes to be a part of one of the world’s most exciting samba festivals.
Bolton Food and Drink Festival
This year’s food and drink festival takes place between Friday 23 August and Monday 26 August 2013. The main event on Victoria Square, in the heart of the town, is the live Rangemaster Cookery Theatre and a speciality market offering great food and drink produce. There are five celebrity TV chefs performing live demos this year, Michael Caines, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood, Aldo Zilli and James Martin. There will be special events for the kids at the new Children’s Food Emporium in Crompton Place Shopping Centre as they will be entertained with everything from food related stories to fun activities. In addition, there are some special treats with food and drink events at venues and restaurants across Bolton.
