A sleep fit for a future King (or Queen) – Thistle Kensington unveils dual Royal Baby rooms to mark arrival of third in line to the throne!

Royal baby fever is hotting up both in the UK and for international travellers into the capital city. In fact, speculation on when the new tot will arrive, and whether the nation has a King or Queen in-waiting, is so rife that Thistle hotels has unveiled two new rooms dedicated to the Royal Baby at the Thistle Kensington Gardens hotel. Excited visitors can book and make their guess on if Kate and Wills will be welcoming a boy or girl by choosing either a blue or pink Royal baby room.

The two new Royal baby rooms – the Royal Blue and Royal Pink rooms – have been decorated in traditional blues and pinks with extra touches fit for a Prince or Princess.

Thistle Kensington Gardens is encouraging those keen to experience a night in one of the exclusive rooms to book now as upon the arrival of the Royal baby, the hotel will be returning one of the rooms back to its original state, depending on the sex of the child. The remaining room will be christened and renamed after the future monarch to be, with the lucky Prince or Princess enjoying unlimited free stays for life.

Guests staying in the room will also benefit from a concierge to cater to their every whim and need, from nearby baby friendly restaurant recommendations, extra nappies and baby food or suggested walks around the hotel for taking their precious little Prince or Princess out for a stroll.

General Manager of Thistle Kensington Gardens, Andrew Byrne, commented: “A new Royal baby is an international event, and our guests from across the globe couldn’t be more excited. As the name suggests, the Thistle Kensington Gardens hotel is really near Kensington Palace and Kensington Gardens and we’re very much feeling part of the expectant family at the moment. The Royal Blue and Royal Pink rooms are a nod to our Royal location, and a small token of just how excited we all are about the new member of the Royal family. Good luck Will and Kate.”

The Thistle Kensington Gardens hotel is located adjacent to the former private grounds of Kensington Palace, now the official residence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Kensington Gardens features over 275 acres of avenues, parkland, ornamental flower beds, playgrounds and galleries, and has been part of the London landscape since 1689.
