Lite@Nite is the fundraising project of Thistle Hotels, a project under which our employees and partners will organise and host (and many will participate) in bold, challenging and radical activities, all in the name of raising cash for kids.
We are extremely proud to be in long term partnership with the following 5 charities:
British Triathlon Foundation Trust
The Children’s Society
All these charities work tirelessly to provide support and protection to thousands of kids around the UK, and we are committed to give as much support and raise as much cash for them as we can. This is no flash in the pan, every summer we will be hosting radical events to inspire everyone to participate, support and sponsor for our partners – this year we’re going to run two different events at the same time!
Lite@Nite is our project, our way to raise money for worthy causes, our way to bring our employees together regardless of their geographic position and put something back into the local and national community, focused on possibly the most vulnerable people of all, children. Our aim, is to engage our entire company and all our team members, across the country, to be part of something amazing, for the benefit of vulnerable kids.
The charities we support:
The mission of the Foundation Trust is to create opportunities and enhance education and engagement through triathlon across Britain. We want to support projects that use triathlon and sport to contribute to young people’s development, closing the skills gap, improving lifelong learning and participation in physical activity.
Kidscape is committed to keeping children safe from abuse. Kidscape is the first charity in the UK established specifically to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse. Kidscape believes that protecting children from harm is key.
Barnardo’s transforms the lives of the most vulnerable children across the UK through the work of our projects, our campaigning and our research expertise. We believe we can bring out the best in every child whether the issue is child poverty, sexual exploitation, disability or domestic violence.
We provide practical, emotional and educational support to vulnerable inner-city children. Our services reach and intensively support thousands of children across London, including the most deprived and at risk whose parents are unable to care for them due to their own practical and emotional challenges. We provide a safe, caring, family environment where support is tailored to the needs of each individual. Our services and support empower children who have experienced enormous challenges to lead positive and fulfilling lives.
The most disadvantaged children rarely suffer on just one front. We work with these children to ensure that they are loved, valued and listened to. With them we fight childhood poverty, harm and neglect. Our network of programmes includes drop-in services for runaways, children’s centres and support for young carers. We support children who are refugees from violence, and we give those in care a voice.
