Underbelly festival

The Underbelly Festival tent on the South Bank has something for everyone. From hilarious live shows like Aliens Love Underpants and Children Are Stinky, to head-scratching amazing displays of genius and magic like The Amazing Bubble Man and Card Ninja.

Getting there is easy, and finding your way around is hugely entertaining! So get down there and start having fun.

Peter Pan at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre

This magical masterpiece descends on Regent’s Park this Spring half-term and is guaranteed to be unforgettable.

Watch as Peter, Wendy and the rest of the crew move through the air as if by magic in this wonderful production of the classic family favourite. Full to the brim with action and some awesome puppetry, you’ll enjoy every moment.

Sensational Butterflies at the Natural History Museum

Come and visit the stunning new residents at the Natural History Museum.

Butterflies, of many beautiful colours, fly around inside a tropical tent erected on the grounds of the museum to house these delicate creatures. You’ll learn, up close, about the many types of butterflies, from all over the world, and how they survive. And if you’re lucky, you’ll have the opportunity to see a few spread their stunning wings for the first time!

You’ll also get the chance to purchase some cool butterfly gifts from the gift shop.

Dawn of Super Heroes at O2 Arena

DC super heroes descend on the capital in this  fantastic exhibition, chronologically showcasing the comic greats over the decades.

Learn all you can about your favourite DC characters, from Batman to Hawkgirl, and check out there suits and weaponry. And of course, get up close and personal with the hero of super heroes, the Man of Steel himself, Superman.

London Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival

Organised by the Chinatown Lions Club, this wonderful boat festival includes an exciting boat race that takes place on the River Thames, and kicks off at the London Regatta Centre, Royal Albert Docks.

There is traditional Chinese food, music, art and performance, and is a fun day out for all the family.

The Hunting of the Snark at the Southbank Centre

Based on the wonderful poem by Lewis Carroll about a haphazard crew off to hunt a mythical creature, The Hunting of the Snark comes to life in this magical play, full of fun and adventure.

Amazing puppetry, jokes galore and amazing songs bring to life this humorous tale.

IMAX 3D

What better way to round off a super half term than with an amazing film (or two!) in magnificent 3D at the IMAX, South Bank.

Two huge blockbusters to watch this half-term are the hotly anticipated, Solo: A Star Wars Story and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Both action packed adventures are a treat, and offer a great chance to get the family together, so settle in because it’s going to be epic!
